Hold Fast (def): "be diligent", "cling to", "take a firm grasp of", "hold your position", "hold your gaze".

“And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, by nature children of wrath; indulging in the desires of the flesh and of the mind (Eph 2:1). You were at a time separated from Christ, excluded from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world (Eph 2:12). But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which we loved us, even when we were dead in our transgression, made us alive together with Christ and raised us up with Him and seated us with Him in heavenly places (Eph 2:4-5). Now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ (Eph 4:13) for through Him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father. So then you are no longer strangers and aliens but are fellow citizens with the saints and are God’s household…you are being built together into a dwelling of God in the spirit (Eph 2:19, 22). For by grace you have been saved through faith; that salvation is not of yourselves, it is a gift of God; not a result of works so no one may boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we could walk in them (Eph 2:9-10).

For God did not send the Son into the world, to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him (John 3:17). Without shedding of blood there is no forgiveness (Heb 9:22). Jesus declared, “this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.” (Matt 26:28). He himself bore our sins in His body on the cross so that we might die to sin and live for righteousness (1 Peter 2:24). Since we have been declared free of the guilt of sin by His blood how much more certain shall we be saved from the wrath of God through Him (Rom 5:9). If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved (Rom 10:9). One died for all, therefore all died; and He died for all, so that they who live might no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf (2 Corin 2:14-15). He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him (2 Corin 5:21). How much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from dead works to serve the living God (Heb 9:14). Through him, he reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross (Col 2:10), therefore if anyone is in Christ they are a new creation the old has passed always and new has come (2 Corin 5:17). If we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin (1 John 1:7). Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ (1 Peter 1:3-5).

For in this hope we have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for what he already sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, through perseverance we wait eagerly for it" (Rom 8:24-25).
